Paltan Song, Raat Kitni: Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Esha Gupta, Sonal Chauhan’s Track Will Remind You Of Sandese Aate Hai
Paltan’s emotional number Raat Kitni has the lead protagonists, who play army officers, remembering their loved ones. Sung by Sonu Nigam, featuring Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood and others the song has a pensive and longing tone to it
JP Dutta is back with the patriotic drama Paltan after
LOC Kargil (2003) and Border (1997). A patriotic drama is inevitably incomplete
without an emotional number. The latest offering from the movie is Raat Kitni
sung by the talented Sonu Nigam. The song is composed and penned by Anu Malik
and Javed Akhtar.
Raat Kitni takes us down the memory lane and bears a
striking resemblance to the earlier lonesome tracks from Dutta’s films. The
song is picturised on most of the lead protagonists like Arjun Rampal, Sonu
Sood, Gurmeet Choudhury, Harshvardhan Rane and Luv Sinha who play army officers
and are seen remembering loved memories with their families as they are miles
away from them. The track also introduced us to their leading ladies, Sonal
Chauhan, Esha Gupta, Monica Gill and Dipika Kakar.
Paltan marks Dutta’s return after a 12-year-long
sabbatical since his last film Umrao Jaan (2006) starring Aishwarya Rai
Bachchan and Abhishekh Bachchan. The film depicts the battle between Nathu La
and Cho La passes at the Sikkim border which had taken place in the year 1967
right after the India and China war in the year 1962. It narrates the bravery
of the Indian soldiers who fought against the Chinese army.
Paltan stars Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Jackie Shroff,
Harshvardhan Rane, Luv Sinha, Gurmeet Choudhury and Siddhanth Kapoor in pivotal
roles. It is slated to release on September 7.
